Relief for Youth Staying at Our Crisis Center

Take a moment to read the note below from James, one of the children we serve. His words reflect the reality for many young people who rely on our Crisis Center, especially during the summer months when school is out and safe places are harder to find.

Your support today helps sustain our work at The Relatives and ensures programs like the Crisis Center continue meeting urgent needs in our community. The Relatives Crisis Center is a 24/7 emergency shelter and crisis hotline. We never close. When a child needs safety, we answer the call and open our doors without delay.

It costs approximately $3,072 per day to fully staff and operate the Crisis Center and Crisis Hotline. That daily commitment means crises de‑escalated, meals served, and children sleeping safely instead of wondering where they will go next.

Your gift to The Relatives provides direct care:

  • $35 covers groceries for a family meal
  • $128 supports one hour of professional staffing
  • $500 funds a full week of Crisis Center activities and outings

Children like James come to us during moments of profound instability. Our role is to provide relief, acceptance, and safety when it matters most. This work is essential to the health and well‑being of our community. Please join us in this mission.

Your gift today ensures children have a safe place to stay tonight, tomorrow, and all summer long. I invite you to make a gift at a level that feels meaningful to you and help sustain this critical work.

For every dollar donated by June 30, our friends at Hobson Builders will match your gift — doubling your impact. Up to $10,000.
