Youth Engagement Specialist

The Youth Engagement Specialist is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the On Ramp Resource Center, which serves as a drop-in center for young adults 16-24 years old, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Support the youth and young adults who come to On Ramp seeking assistance with housing, education, employment, health and safety, and community navigation. This includes assisting with intake assessments, mentoring young adults as they work toward achieving their goals, managing daily workshops, and opening & monitoring participants’ use of the basic needs area, such as the kitchen during meal times, the shower facility, and the laundry room.

The Youth Engagement Navigator is responsible for supporting the engagement and coordination of young adults in the On Ramp Resource Center which serves as a drop-in center for young adults 16-24 years of age. The Relatives On Ramp Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. The Youth Engagement Navigator is responsible for engaging with, and providing support to, young people in the On Ramp Resource Center and in our community. This includes offering support to young people by assessing their needs, providing appropriate referrals and resources, and following up on their progress. The Youth Engagement Navigator will also be responsible for developing relationships with youth-serving organizations, attending community events to promote the organization’s services, and creating workshops/presentations to engage youth.
