In efforts to transform the corporate giving model, the LendingTree Foundation announced the launch of their signature philanthropy program, the LendaHand Alliance Cohort: a three-year program for 10 Charlotte-based nonprofits designed to maximize community impact through trust-based philanthropy and meaningful relationships.

The Relatives is proud to announce our participation in this new initiative, joining 10 other local non-profits each of whom is doing transformational work.

This funding will allow The Relatives to provide a more intensive mental health counseling program including 35 hours of mental health services per week at both the Youth Crisis Center and On Ramp Resource Center.

This grant will also establish the LendingTree Foundation Barriers Fund. The Barrier Fund will be used to remove the barriers, such as: emergency dental care, eyeglasses, books for classes, uniforms for work, supplies/tools necessary to begin working, emergency car repairs for youth, and temporary child-care subsidies to allow young parents to start working while making long-term child-care arrangements, and anything else that may come up preventing our young adults from achieving stability and success.

The inaugural 2021-23 LendaHand Alliance Cohort includes:

  • ArtPop Street Gallery
  • Charlotte Is Creative
  • Charlotte Rescue Mission
  • Common Wealth Charlotte
  • Digi-Bridge
  • Do Greater Charlotte
  • Dottie Rose Foundation
  • Freedom Communities
  • The Relatives
  • West Side Community Land Trust
